What to wear in Autumn

What to wear in Autumn

Nothing says Autumn quite like the sartorial excellence of Burberry, who, year after year send the same iconic coat silhouette down the runway and still have everyone hungry for more...
Hello everyone! Today, as I was putting away my summer wardrobe and getting out the Autumnal pieces, I thought it would be interesting to show what I love to wear in Autumn, its my favourite season for dressing so what could be better? Recently, the weathers' been cooler and less sunny here in the UK, so a warmer wardrobe is officially needed!

Firstly, I am quite a smart dresser, so apologies of you prefer a more sporty or casual look, but that's just not me. This list is more for someone who dresses quite classic and smart, but I assure you every one of theses pieces can be dressed down.

Lets Begin! (tap/click pictures to buy)

Number One: a good coat

And by good, I mean something made of wool, tailored and super classic. I love a double breasted wool coat, It goes with absolutely everything and can be paired with jeans or tailored trousers depending on the occasion. I love them in Navy, Black or Camel/Tan, purely for their versatility. For me, they're the best coat for Autumn because it's not too cold and they can be worn with a thin jumper and a teeshirt. However, come January when its freezing, simply add a thicker jumper, as well as a scarf and they can survive even the coldest days (as well as looking chic at the same time)  They can be purchased everywhere such as, Topman, Burton and Asos, and if your feeling spendy Burberry make some gorgeous ones.

Number Two: a pair of boots

Good shoes take you good places: its a fact!. A a sturdy pair of boots will give your outfit the edge, and will be an investment that will pay for itself in the long run. for colours, Black and Brown give you the most options, and that way you have a pair for smart and casual occasions. For a Classic look, Chelsea Boots are a very good choice, but if you want a more modern look, A biker style would also be a great choice. For a bit of texture, a suede finish looks amazing! The best pair I own are loake ,but cheaper options can be purchased from Next, Asos and Topman

Number Three: a Belt

Super obvious I know, but so many guys forget the importance of a belt! Belts help elevate a look, giving your body and outfit structure by accentuateing the waist. like the Boots, brown and black options give you versatility, and can be dressed up or down, with jeans or a suit. If you like to match the belt and shoes it will be a great way to look put together, using minimal effort! The options below are both reversible, so two belts for the price of one! Winner!

Number Four: a roll neck/turtle neck jumper

Nothing sums up Autumn more than a roll neck jumper, they are so warm and practical (and stylish!) If scarf aren't your thing, no fear! A roll neck Jumper can double as a scarf and looks great layered under a coat. Neutral colours are a safe option, and help act as the backdrop to wearing a coat!

Number five: a hat

Finally, when Autumn melts into Winter, and freezing temperatures descend only to make everyone grumpy because they are cold, a woolly hat will keep you warm and cosy all whilst adding a youthful look.Whatever your style, the options are endless! and can give your look a trendy twist. Unlike before, some colours help add a real pop to your outfit,so Burgundy, Khaki and Army Green are all good options.

Kinda love this one.. (Asos)

Thats all for Autumn must haves, I hope you enjoyed the options and now can #slay the cooler months...

BRANDED FASHION - LOVE IT OR LOATH IT

BRANDED FASHION - LOVE IT OR LOATH IT Brand logos are extremely popular with current Instagram bloggers and their street style, but they continue to divide the fashion community as a question of taste. Many people wrongly judge their fashion aesthetic around how much their outfit costs, and designer logos are an immediate way to communicate that to the average passer by. Personally, I like the look of a logo, so long as it positively impacts the outfit and is not done to "show off" the brand. Many people feel that any brand logo is done to enforce the brand on others, but if you look deeper than just how much that item of designer clothing may cost, logos are a good example of iconic graphic design, and I personally love the look of a logo (if done *classily*). The first logo to outwardly show a brand name was the monogram print of French trunk maker Louis Vuitton. In 1896, Louis Vuitton's son, Georges created the pattern in a bid to prevent counterfeiting of the...

MET GALA FASHION REVIEW

MET GALA FASHION REVIEW 2018 The Met Gala is, to fashion, what the olympics is to sport, what tea is to British people, what facetune is to beauty gurus, an iconic pairing that anyone interested cannot afford to miss. But why? Put simply; star appeal and media coverage. The ball is an evening event, always set on the first Monday in May to raise money for the costume institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Sounds relatively basic and ordinary? think again. It is a heavily publicised event, and a ticket ensures your presence on the world stage for years to come. Ironically, the most iconic moment of the gala is the red carpet before the show, as the world press the morning after catalogue, in detail the outfits, body language and general celebrity star appeal of having dozens of high profile celebs all in one building at the same time. Ironically, and completely in keeping with current technology, the outfits are "memed" on social media the n...

What to do in Paris

What to do in Paris Actress Audrey Hepburn once said “Paris is always a good idea”, and she was not wrong! Paris is one of my favourite cities and this list will tell you all of my favourite things to do when you're in the city of light! 1. A trip up the The Eiffel Tower This is a complete must, it is to Paris what the Empire State is to New York. An icon of design and engineering it was originally created for the entrance to the 1889 World Fair and was never taken down afterwards! The views from all levels are stunning, and give an incredible look at the city from above. You can pinpoint all of the iconic sights from the top, and if you're lucky, you may see a proposal or two, as hundreds of people propose every week on the iconic structure. 2.A snack at the Cafe Marly Okay, this one is not that budget friendly (I learned this the hard way) but it is so worth it for the stunning views across the Musee de Louvre, and I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu ...
